Christmas Challenge

Kia-ora, Today Sunday 22nd Fudge and  I made the apron for our Christmas challenge. The rules were it has to be able to be worn and must use Christmas fabric -- I used the same pattern as the BBQ ones I made the other day but fussy cut and did a little applique on this one-- Just enough to make it pretty--I hope.

Kia-ora, Today I spent time with Fudge--my Janome machine and
with my serger--- and made this BBQ apron --Its a Christmas gift for-----!!
Have enough fabric left to make a second one but wont use the NZ fabric as trim.
Will use something different.

I also have a ladies apron to make for the Christmas challenge at my Quilting club--Pinestream Quilters --we have to make a apron that can be worn and use Christmas fabric. Wont put up a picture of that until after our meeting next week tho.

Kia-ora One of the pictures below is a Journal cover I made for my oldest granddaughter she noticed one that had been made for me and asked me could I make her one-- so this is it. She picked the fabric and its a hand dye by my friend Irene from Melbourne Florida.

Kia-ora and welcome to my blog-- a little about Kiwi Jan and Fudge I am a retired homemaker married to Tom. I have two grown kids and four grand kids the lights of my life and a Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel called Blaze.
My hobbies are gardening with Blaze right beside me --and stitching- stitching and for a change more stitching--- this is where Fudge comes in. Fudge is my trusty Janome sewing machine --why call her Fudge well have you ever Fudged something---!!!
I am a quilter both hand and machine with Applique as my favourite technique.
I have completed a 'Baltimore Quilt' and also a 'Dear Jane' plus many others. Most of which have been given to family and friends.
I am a maker of bags--- don't ask how many I have made will you!!!
I also love making Artist trading cards and postcards which I trade around New Zealand and Australia thru a small Yahoo group that I own and thru a couple of other groups around the world.
What fun it is to receive postcards from way over the other side of the world.
I hope to show some of my work and tell a little about New Zealand.
Nuff for now
